Check your details before ordering
An Aadhaar PVC card is a compact physical version of Aadhaar. Ordering it prints the details already held in your Aadhaar record; it is not an address-correction service. If you recently moved, complete the address update and check the approved details before paying for a card.
UIDAI explains that the card is sent to the address registered with Aadhaar and that e-Aadhaar, the Aadhaar letter and the PVC card are equally valid forms. Official PVC-card guidance
How to prepare your order
- Open myAadhaar and select the PVC-card service.
- Read the available verification options and follow the route that fits your mobile-number access.
- Review the details offered by the service. Check the fee on the official payment screen.
- Complete payment and save the receipt, service request number and payment reference.
- Return to the official tracking service when you want an order update.
Keep the receipt somewhere you can find it without searching through a crowded photo gallery. A clearly named private folder helps if you are ordering cards for more than one family member.
What if my registered mobile is unavailable?
UIDAI provides an alternate-number ordering route; the identity preview may not be available for that route. Read the current on-screen instructions rather than assuming the order failed because a preview is missing. UIDAI ordering FAQ
Order status and delivery status are different
Use the request reference to follow the order with UIDAI. Once a postal consignment or AWB number is provided, use India Post tracking for the delivery stage. Keep the two references labelled separately.
If a payment is debited but the acknowledgement is unclear, check the official status and payment records before placing a duplicate order. Save a screenshot of the error without posting your Aadhaar number publicly.
A delivery message asking you to pay through an unfamiliar link deserves a separate check on the official postal website.
