Find a centre that offers your service

Use the official Bhuvan Aadhaar centre locator linked by UIDAI. Look at the service offered as well as the address. Some locations handle a narrower set of tasks, so the nearest map marker may not fit your request. UIDAI centre information

Write down exactly what you need: a mobile-number change, name correction, child enrolment, photograph or biometric update. This makes it easier to check the centre’s suitability before travelling.

Book where appointments are available

UIDAI-run Aadhaar Seva Kendras offer online appointments through the official booking portal. Booking an appointment is free, and the booking mobile need not already be registered with Aadhaar. The actual Aadhaar service may have its own charge. Aadhaar Seva Kendra guidance

Save the appointment confirmation, location and time. Check the selected city carefully; similarly named places can appear in different districts. If there is no suitable slot, review the centre information for the available visiting process.

Pack a small document folder

Bring the original evidence relevant to your request, your existing Aadhaar details for an update, and the appointment reference if you booked. For a child, check whether a parent or guardian and their documents must be present.

Make a short written checklist of the changes you want. It is easy to forget a spelling correction while focusing on a mobile-number update.

Before the operator submits

Read the preview yourself. Check every digit of your phone number, the spelling in both languages, the birth date if involved, and the address PIN code. Ask for a correction immediately if something differs from your request.

Keep the payment receipt and acknowledgement together, and collect all original documents. Record the visit date so you can follow up with a clear timeline.

If a charge or requested document surprises you, ask which published UIDAI rule applies. Check the official fee information or contact UIDAI on 1947 for clarification. Do not pay a separate person who promises guaranteed approval or a faster decision.
